Robin has just returned from Australia where his first feature film screenplay (co-written with Carolyn Wilson) Razzle Dazzle
has just been completed. Robin has recently performed on BBC3’s The Comic Side of 7 Days and presented a new 60
minute documentary The Trouble with Old People, also for BBC3. He continues to perform weekly political diatribes for The
Last Word on More4 and erratic reports for BBC4’s Late Edition.
The summer of 2005, Robin performed a brand new stand-up show Robin Ince Is as Dumb as You at the Edinburgh Fringe
Festival to critical acclaim. Robin Ince’s Book Club has gained plaudits and lead to his nomination for the Time Out
outstanding comedy achievement. It will be touring nationally from March. In 2004 Robin supported Ricky Gervais on his
Politics tour around the country ending with three nights at the Hammersmith Apollo and he was featured heavily in the Politics
DVD that came out last year.
He regularly performs stand up on the Radio and TV, most recently on Radio 4’s The Now Show, Eddie Izzard’s Christmas
Cabaret on Radio 2 and Paramount TV’s The World Stands Up. He has written and performed four series of The Day the
Music Died on Radio 2 and Mitch Benn’s Crimes against Music on Radio 4, both of which will be returning in the summer. He
will also be writing and presenting a second series of Serious about Comedy on BBC 7 in February.
Robin has written extensively for Television and Radio. His credits include the BAFTA winning Have I Got News for You,
Alastair McGowan’s Big Impression (BBC1) V Graham Norton (C4) the Sketch Show (ITV) and for MTV.
Robin is a frequent contributor on film and culture for BBC 4’s DVD Collection, the Radio Cafe (BBC Radio Scotland) and Back
Row (BBC Radio 4) as well as regularly contributing to compilation television shows.
